Best Tasting Dog Food
I have a very, very picky eater. For years , I have struggled to find a dog food he will eat. We tried all brands of kibble, and all brands of canned wet food. No matter what I bought, my dog would eventually stop eating it and I was left donating dog food to the animal shelter. So I took to preparing his meals at home, but my vet warned me that human food wasn’t well balanced and it made my dog extremely overweight, lethargic, and gassy. It was also a pain to prepare, and truthfully, I didn’t have the time or the energy to continue. So, I started researching dog foods and I ordered the number one, human grade dog food on dog food advisor, but my dog just walked away and refused to eat. He went on a hunger strike. Next, I ordered the number two dog food, but I could not entice my dog to eat it. Again, he went for days without eating and he only made me feel guilty for starving my poor dog. Then I found A Pup Above. It was A rated, it was delivered quickly, and most importantly, my dog gobbled it up! Initially, I thought my dog might eat it for a couple of days and then get tired of it. Miracle of miracles - he has eaten it all up everyday for the last 3 months!!! He loves his food! Everyday, he gets excited at mealtime. He dances around and begs to be fed. He prefers the beef, chicken, and turkey flavors, and he licks his bowl clean every time. He is energetic, happy, and I have stopped worrying about an unbalanced diet! Pomeranian Taste test winner
I have a 4lb Pomeranian that has tried many sous-vide and lightly cooked food. He likes the Porky the best but beef is his second favorite. He doesn't care for poultry so I haven't bothered even buying that flavor. He gets up early with my partner so he can have his special food first thing in the morning, usually 6am. then he comes back to sleep come more with me. He licks the plate clean and later in the day he kicks the bowl around to let me know he would like more. He loves this food.
I love this food
To be honest, my dogs would eat anything; they're not exactly discriminating eaters. That being said, I love this food. I've tried almost every fresh frozen brand, and in my opinion "A Pup Above" is in a class by itself. Beside the fact that, while other brands claim to be human grade, none except one states that it's human grade on the packaging. Texturally, this food isn't the pasty mush that some other brands are, and it smells like what it is - the beef smells like beef, the turkey like turkey, etc. Nor is the food over processed; the beef is actually pink when the food is broken into. (I also appreciate not being roped into a delivery schedule predetermined by the company).
Finally!
Finally found a dog food my sweet, very picky 2 1/2 year old Havanese likes! We have tried 10 vet recommended pet food brands, 3 other fresh food brands, and two weeks of making our own food for her, A Pup Above is the ONLY food my dog likes. After two years of coaxing her to eat by adding green beans, sweet potatoes or other dog safe additions- we are so relieved to have her love her food! She actually comes over at meal time when I open the container and eats every morsel- no more coaxing or additions needed! We feel confident we are feeding her healthy food without pesticides and processed ingredients. Happy dog, happy parents!
